Hatfield, Pa. – On Saturday, September 28, a group of Penn E&R employees participated in the Perkiomen Watershed Conservancy’s 2016 Fall Stream Cleanup event. The event, which was held at 13 sites throughout the Perkiomen Watershed, resulted in the removal of 148 bags of trash, 8 bags of recyclables and 14 tires.
The Perkiomen Watershed Conservancy is an organization based in Berks, Bucks, Lehigh and Montgomery County that has worked since 1964 to conserve and protect the natural resources of the Perkiomen Creek Watershed. The annual Stream Cleanup is the largest event of its kind in the area, averaging over 300 bags of trash cleared yearly since 2010.
