HATFIELD, Pa. — Penn Environmental & Remediation, Inc. has been selected as the recipient of Cumberland County Conservation District’s 2017 Clean Water Award.
Cumberland County Conservation District (CCCD) presents this award to organizations that demonstrate exceptional stewardship practices to improve and preserve natural resources. Specifically, the Clean Water Award is presented to an entity in the construction or engineering field that demonstrates outstanding erosion and sedimentation control measures, which contribute to the conservation of Pennsylvania’s soil, water, and natural resources.
This is just one success by our engineering group which, among other services, specializes in quickly submitting high-quality NPDES permit applications, erosion and sediment control, and post-construction stormwater management plans to keep projects on schedule and within budget. In addition, Penn E&R has accomplished the following:
- Successfully worked and obtained permit approvals from a significant number of Conservation Districts in Pennsylvania
- Received numerous general and individual NPDES permit and E&S plan approvals under Pennsylvania’s erosion and sediment control regulations
- Obtained approvals for three general permits in fewer than 30 business days from their submittal and one individual NPDES permit within 74 business days of its submittal, as compared to average permit acquisition times of 4-6 months or longer
- Obtained PennDOT Highway Occupancy and Limited Use Access permits in one, five, and seven days. On average, this specific permit acquisition can take months.
The Clean Water Award will be awarded to Penn E&R at a ceremony later this summer.
