
Penn E&R is pleased to announce Project Manager Rebecca Buchanan, CPESC has accepted a position on the Society of Women Environmental Professionals (SWEP) Greater Philadelphia Chapter Board of Directors. Ms. Buchanan, a Certified Professional in Erosion and Sediment Control and Project Manager in Penn E&R’s Hatfield office, will serve as SWEP’s Website Administrator as well as support the association’s various committees and professional development initiatives.
Ms. Buchanan has over ten years’ experience in project management and environmental permitting. She has managed projects in a variety of fields, including electric utilities, oil and gas, and land development and has wide-ranging environmental experience with stormwater management, erosion and sediment control, waterways and wetlands, threatened and endangered species, and environmental compliance inspections and regulatory permitting under Pennsylvania’s Chapter 92, 102, and 105 programs. Ms. Buchanan graduated magna cum laude from Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Geography and Regional Planning.
SWEP is a national non-profit association of women involved or interested in environmental professions. Its Greater Philadelphia Chapter was founded in 1995 and currently has more 335 members and 37 corporate memberships.
