This summer, Penn E&R participated in the Sustainable Energy Fund’s Energypath 2018, a three-day event geared toward bringing together students and industry professionals for high-level learning on sustainable energy topics, held at DeSales University in Center Valley, Pennsylvania.

Principal Engineer Glenn Nicholas Iosue, P.E., BCEE represented Penn E&R and served as a judge at the event’s science fair.
Energypath 2018 kicked off with three days of energy camps for more than 120 students from colleges across the United States. 140 industry professionals then joined the students for the Energypath Conference, which included presentations from notable speakers on the country’s power market, energy grid reliability, and energy distribution.

The conference also included an expo with exhibitors and a science fair for middle and high school students. Winners at each level took home prizes ranging from $250 to $1250.

The event concluded with an award dinner, which included keynote addresses from Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection Secretary Patrick McDonnell and Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission Chairman Gladys Brown.
