This past spring, three Penn E&R employees took to the streets for this year’s UPMC Health Plan Pittsburgh Half Marathon.

Penn E&R Chief Engineer Richard Vannucci Jr., PE, Assistant Project Manager Michele Cooney, PG, GSP and Technical Assistant Matthew Scott ran in the 11th annual half marathon on May 5. The trio say they plan to participate in additional races through the summer and fall. Congratulations to our Penn E&R Pittsburgh race team!
The UPMC Health Plan Pittsburgh Half Marathon, started in 2009, takes runners on a 13.1-mile tour of the Steel City, across its three rivers, over bridges providing beautiful views of the city’s skyline and through unique neighborhoods lined with spectators, according to its website. It is typically held the first weekend in May at the same time as the DICK’s Sporting Goods Pittsburgh Marathon, which dates back to 1985.
