
Penn E&R was retained by a confidential manufacturing client to complete a detailed feasibility evaluation for water supply alternatives for its plant located in Lehigh County, Pennsylvania. Penn E&R was selected based on its past success completing similar in-depth feasibility analyses and its experience negotiating with state and local regulatory agencies.
KEY PROJECT TASKS:

detailed evaluation of alternatives using following criteria:
- Permitability
- Sustainability
- Cost (capital and long term)
- Implementability
- Created decision matrix to assess each alternative’s benefits and limitations in order to identify key tradeoffs
- Prepared summary report of findings including a ranking of the alternatives based on the decision matrix analysis
- Attended review meeting with client’s staff to discuss evaluation, results and alternatives to move forward
Penn E&R has since been retained by the client to complete a hydrogeologic investigation and additional sampling to move forward with the decided alternative for the water supply system.
