Penn E&R assisted a client with the cleanup of hazardous polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) at a Pittsburgh facility. Among the tasks required for the cleanup, Penn E&R conducted sampling activities to delineate the impacted area, coordinated the PCB remediation, directed and oversaw demolition of the PCB transformer pad and proper disposal of PCB waste material, and summarized all project findings and results in a comprehensive final report. Penn E&R’s assistance helped the client maintain compliance with the Toxic Substances Control Act.
