Penn E&R is currently contracted by a major oil and gas stakeholder to complete routine inspections of erosion and sediment (E&S) controls and Post-Construction Stormwater Management (PCSM) Best Management Practices (BMPs) at its facilities spanning western Pennsylvania and West Virginia. Each inspection report is completed digitally via the use of an electronic tablet (i.e., iPad).
KEY PROJECT TASKS:
- E&S control inspections
- Completed on a weekly basis as well as within 24 hours of a qualifying rain event
- Slopes checked for signs of erosion, cracks, slips, lack of vegetation or other evidence of potential/present site instability
- BMPs checked to ensure they are installed and functioning correctly
- Evaluated for signs of sedimentation off limit of disturbance
- Documented with written and photographic evidence
- PCSM BMP inspections
- Completed on a quarterly basis to ensure functionality of controls and perform routine maintenance to prevent slips and/or accelerated erosion on a well pad where a permit has been terminated
- Documented with written and photographic evidence
- Coordinate weekly status updates and inspection schedules
- Participate in monthly and quarterly health and safety and vendor performance meetings
